Elenas Comfy Home was a perfect choice for us. Positive: Location is a little out of the center of town but host provided very helpful directions to get to the place. We had a car so getting food was easy as there are a number of street food places a very short drive from the house and a great coffee shop next to the St. Elena's roundabout. Getting downtown was another very short and easy drive. The house had all the amenities for a comfortable stay. Hosts were extremely gracious and made sure we did not lack anything necessary. They even organized our trip to Caracol (wonderful guide who picked us up at the house and then dropped us back right there). We highly recommend Elenas Comfy Home.

Property was in excellent condition and very clean. Front room has no A/C but if both bedroom doors were open and the fans were turned on, it cooled down nicely. We only used the A/C when we were there during the day and we were fine. The furnishings were fine too. Neighbor hood was typical Belize with both nice and run down houses. We enjoyed our stay and there were plenty of places to eat and things to do. Everywhere we ate was very good. If you visit Belize don’t expect 5 star accommodations, the country does not have fancy hotels and restaurants, but we love visiting places to learn the culture and how the locals live. You get that and a good taste of Belize in San Elena. We loved our stay and would do it again. Our hosts,Hadea and Tony, were very welcoming and seemed to really want us to enjoy their home and our time in country.

The property was clean and modern. Everything worked. Be sure to read the notebook. The host has provided a great deal of information that really helped us.a couple of things to know. AIf you have mobility issues know there are stairs to get into the house. The showers can be slippery and there are no handholds.
